Myanmar Microfinance Bank (MMB)

The Myanmar Microfinance Bank Limited was established on 2nd July 2013 with the permission of the Central Bank of Myanmar Under the law of Financial Institutions of Myanmar and the law of the Central Bank of Myanmar.

License MaVaBa/P-30/(7)2013 (1) dated. 2.7.2013 was granted by the Central Bank of Myanmar, the Ministry of Finance and Revenue to operate as Development Bank and Investment Bank. The MMB Bank can also do commercial banking by seeking the permission of the Central Bank. The Bank is now ready to provide financial services to the public. It has already employed more than three hundred of employees to start banking which will be mutually beneficially to depositors as well as borrowers. Without collateral loan will be given for low income families through Central Cooperative Society. The MMB is going to open new Parami Bank branch soon. New branches will be opened in Yangon. And, the preparation is underway.

Myanmar Microfinance Bank will provide several banking services.

Call Deposit

- At initial opening, minimum 1,000/- kyats can be opened for Call Deposit account and the remaining balance amount is minimum 1,000/- kyats.
- Call Deposit maximum amount is no limit.
- Individual (or) Joint (or) Company/ Organizations can open Call Deposit Account.
- Interest rate is calculated on daily basic.
  The rates are as follow:
  Interest rate for   - Ks 1,000,000 to Ks 10,000,000 is 5%
                           - above Ks 10,000,000 is 8.25% .
- Daily interest will be calculated for the customers with daily remaining balance amount Ks 1,000,000 and above.
- The interest is added to the account of the customer at the end of every month and the customer can withdraw cash at the needed time.
- Call Deposit can be linked with Current Account.
- Call Deposit service is started on 2^nd November, 2015.
